Windsurfing

Augustów is a perfect town for lovers of all water sports and active tourism. A sport gaining in popularity is windsurfing, and in Augustów there are ideal conditions for it. First steps are the most difficult - mastering the basics of sailing, and this can be taught by trained water sports instructors.

Where to windsurf? The best place is Białe Lake, where you can really feel the wind. For beginners, more covered lake like Necko is recommended. You can start as early as at the age of ten, and are allowed to go windsurfing without a helmsman patent. All you need is the desire to try and a little knowledge about wind.
